I’ve been working with LAMP stack for many years. There is always something that ignites my mind to think of other technologies.
I moved to different workplaces and worked on numerous projects. But most of the time, I end up working and managing PHP-based projects. But now it’s kind of boring and I’m lacking enthusiasm. I don’t feel working in PHP is adding any value, giving any fulfillment. Most of the time, it’s some background services or REST APIs.
Before even learning about javascript, I used jQuery in my school project which I found very handy when it comes to managing and manipulating DOM elements. Then I worked on some node stuff and wrote microservices, created SDK for SMS API. So javascript is something I enjoy working on.
Nowadays I’m leaner towards Go. I started learning it and feel like everything is flying over my head. But slowly catching it up. Most of the time, I end up being too hasty which in turns into feeling that I’m having an inability to learn something new further leading to catastrophizing.
There is one thing above all is that I need new things to work on otherwise I won’t enjoy my work anymore.
